fixcmi.c


This program configures CMI8330 sound chip based sound cards on Linux systems for playing audio CDs. It needs to be run on every Linux boot. Compile this program using
$ gcc -o fixcmi -O fixcmi.c
and put the fixcmi executable in a standard place (e.g. /usr/bin), and add an entry to the end of /etc/rc.d/rc.local to run it automatically while booting. This program works very nicely for my Sound-Pro sound card.
